Most Beautiful Women In Art
A beautiful woman is a never-ending inspiration…
Imagine the Earth without the sun… it would be a lifeless, dark and very cold place.
Imagine our planet without the women… there would be no “us”; there would be no one to give us birth.
Imagine the world without the colors and that’s what the art would look like if there wasn’t for beautiful women to inspire men and women throughout the millenniums to create fascinating masterpieces in all forms of art.
Beautiful Women Paintings
Painters have also been inspired by beautiful women since the beginning of the mankind. Some of the most famous and valued paintings are The Birth of Venus painted by Sandro Botticelli and the Girl with a Pearl Earring painted by Johannes Vermeer.
Also, the most famous painting of all times is the one of a beautiful young woman from the period of renaissance – Mona Lisa painted by Leonardo da Vinci.
Beautiful Women Drawings
If you had a dime for every beautiful woman drawing in the world you would be the richest person on the planet till the end of time.
There are many types of drawing and drawings but the two types we will give a special place in this article are the Pin-up drawings and comics.
Pin-up Girls
The term pin-up, among other things, refers to drawings and other forms of illustrations of beautiful pin-up girls. Pin-up girls are glamour models, fashion models, or actresses. Some of the most famous pin-up girls were: Betty Grable, Betty Page, Veronica Lake, Jayne Mansfield, Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Brigitte Bardot, etc.
Beautiful Female Comic Characters
Comics have been around for centuries and up until 1985 they were solely created by hand – traditional pen-and-ink drawings. Today many cartoonists create digital illustrations using computers however one thing remains the same – beautiful women as the main comic characters.
To those that are not comic fans it will definitively come as a surprise how many stunning female comic characters are there in the world of comics.
Beautiful Women Sculptures
From the ancient Greek artists to the great sculptors of the renaissance period to the progenitor of modern sculpture Rodin and many post-modern (contemporary) sculptors, beautiful women have been a never ending motivation and inspiration for their work.
As you can see without the beautiful women as motivation and inspiration the art would definitively not be the same – to say at least.
